Day3 Digital is a locally owned photography business that started out as a photography studio. With the high cost of muslin backdrops, we decided to look into digital backdrops as a cost-effective alternative. We were very disappointed to find that most vendors were selling lower quality backgrounds with resolutions less than 2500x4000, which can result in poor looking prints. So, with our years of experience in graphic design, we decided to start making our own digital backgrounds.

Here at Day3 Digital, all of our digital backdrops are created by our own designers and have resolutions of 3500x5000. Unlike our competitors who compress their images down into lower quality jpg files, we still use tiff files with LZW lossless compression to keep our file sizes low without sacrificing any quality at all. Our commitment to quality has resulted in the highest resolution digital backdrops in the industry.

Not long after we began selling our digital backdrops in early 2004, we began receiving requests from customers who wanted to download our digital backdrops. We then decided to make the investment to become the first digital backdrop vendor to provide instant downloads of our individual backgrounds. By 2005, our downloads were a big hit among graphic design companies and professional photography studios all over the United States as well as several other countries accross 4 different continents.
